Cursor not visible

cursor often has been disappearing, unless I close my laptop and open it again

• Are you using the built-in trackpad or an external wired/wireless mouse?

MacBook Air 2014 High Sierra built-in trackpad

I seemed to have solved this problem by using First Aid twice and turning my laptop off twice. We shall see. it has been working fine for 5 days so far.
