Cursor disappearing

Have a MacBook Pro, 2017, and the cursor doesn’t always appear when opening the computer up. Sometimes can get it back by closing the lid and re-opening once, sometimes requires doing this several times. Just started this behavior about a month ago and doesn’t do it all the time. How can this be corrected?

Hello,

-Which version of macOS?
-Are you using the built-in trackpad, or do you also have a Bluetooth device as well?
-Did this happen after an OS or other software update?
