Confusing problem

Hi all. Not entirely sure how to really word this so hopefully sum1 will understand. Im not sure if I need to go into sumwhere to speed something up or fix something on my macbook pro. Basically sometimes on the top bar where the apple icon is I get a small black bar type thing covering the logo, but when i click where the logo would be it disappears but reappears when Im not clicking on it. Also, when Im on facebook and looking thru one of my photo albums I get thin horizontal lines going across the screen when I scroll down, they disappear if I move more, Im not sure if this is refreshing fast enough or what.

Can anyone understand this and help please?

Check that your screen resolution is set to the right one.

It could be a RAM issue.

What Mac, OSX, RAM?

Im using 10.7.5
4GB RAM

Its pretty new, as in May last year

Get it to an AppleCare Service Centre as its still under warranty.
