Need help breaking a code

Hi all

I have never done any code-breaking myself, but am attempting to break a code that a troubled teen who is staying w/us is using to communicate w/friends on our computer. I fear that she is into drugs and want to find out more. I've tried to figure it out, but not having much luck. And you all seem to be master code-breakers, so I thought I'd ask and see if anyone would be willing to give it a try. Here it is:

vkjjvc kjoifkvndgvoif;KMCDSGOIvhfslkcsdncscnfue
fnfveh vddvkjvjrilurfkjvdhudslneuhclfseei
sfhydbvdslijkmnwgvdsluifkjhvdlkjhsdczxgvuyihfuoeidlskc!

Thanks for your help.

Re: Need help breaking a code

Hi there and welcome,

certainly looks a little strange...

If you need to know what is being said by the 'troubled teen' you may be better installing a keystroke logger to see if that gives a better insight into whats happening.

I'll have a look at the code...

Well, this isn't a code but I just think it's really good...

Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at an Elingsh uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht frist and lsat ltteer is at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a toatl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae we do not raed ervey lteter by itslef but the wrod as a wlohe.

That is SO COOL! My dughaetr tinhks it is rlleay naet, too!

The above code challenge is actually an extra credit assignment in her 5th grade class so I know someone on this forum can crack this code...It might have something to do with religion, she attends catholic school. The 8th grade class gets these problems everyday...

It is a wise saying of which there are plenty of in any religion and wise sayings are relevant to everybody, regardless of the flavour of the religion.

If you can decipher the first word then the rest just falls into place ... I wasn't sure if you just wanted the translation or wanted your daughter to take some credit for it?:)

yes- we have been looking at the first word to start from there.
What is the answer full or partial? I was looking for a starting place to give her a helpful start.

Dear Spawn Dooley,
I was so excited to get onto the forum this morning, I failed to check my email first. Thank you for the private message and the translation!

I just stumbled on this thread whilst googling Code Breaking!
This one is really getting to me as I can't seem to find a way to work it out

How does 'SARRJZLHK2D254728' become '1555665a389d75875' ?
If this is a bit complicated any links to code breaking forums would be appreciated
Thanks
