Hi Guys,
I've just watched a video on YouTube in wich the person cleans the screen of his laptop (not a mac laptop) with some WD40 on a cloth, what do you guys think, is that a thing you would do if you had no proper screen cleaner? I have asked before about cleaning the screen on my MBP but I was just wondering about this.

Thanks, I would be interested to hear your views.

I would be very loath to advise anyone to use WD40 (a solvent/mineral oil mixture) to clean any monitor surface. It will also damage plastic surfaces.

We use a cloth and solution sold to clean eye glasses. Not sure where you would get it, here we can get it from the chemist or optician.

Hi seloc,

The thought of WD40 going anywhere near my Macs scares the hell out of me, personally use Apple's green screen cleaner it comes with a lint free cloth. Each bottle lasts me about 6 months. Use it on Mac's iPhone and iPad.
