can't open my mail account

Could anyone help me. When I try to open my mail I get a warning saying that there is not enough place in my home map and that I have to delete/place elsewhere unnecessary documents to a different volume? :confused: How do I do that?

I still hope someone with lots of experience could advise me. I have deleted through library - messages all the messages. but I still get the same message. What should i do/:(

Welcome to mac-help.com. Could you please post what version of Mac OS you are using and what type of Mac you have?

at the end I manage to solve my problem. surprised that nobody had this problem before!
