Can someone help me please?

I am a tech thick just so you're aware...I had a message to upgrade my operating system which I did and now a number of things have gone wrong. even though I'm sharing photos with my iPhone, I'm getting messages whenever I try to attach photos to websites (such as eBay e.g.) from my MacBook that the photo isn't big enough.

In a edition the 'log into AppleID box keeps appearing and not accepting my password.

I wish I'd never upgraded......can anyone help me please?

-Which model Mac?
-Which version of macOS - Catalina?
-Can you further explain "sharing photos with my iPhone"?
-Are you uploading photos to the websites, and from where?
-Were you logged in to iCloud with your Apple ID in System Preferences... > iCloud? Have you tried entering it there, instead of in the pop-up?
