I have an iMac that is about 7 years old that still works great, but I have nearly filled the hard drive. Can I attach it to a Mac Mini to use it as the display?
Apple have given you what is called a TDM Target Display Mode is a feature that allows you to use the display of an iMac to view the screen output from a second, external, Mac such as your mini. You do this with either a Mini DisplayPort cable or a Thunderbolt cable in order to share the screen of an iMac with an external Mac.
