Hi, I'm using a G5 Dual Core - ( the noisy one !) . Running Leopard.

Stupidly allowed it to be used, and in doing so have had the startup disk set to 'Network Startup' . . . to start with it's NOT on a network. It's stand-alone, now on startup all I get is a flashing 'Globe' then the dreaded folder with the question mark !

Loaded the original install DVD 'c' start, no difference.

Anybody any ideas ?

Steve.

Try this:

Restart your computer with the Option key held down then click on your Mac OS X system from the list of disks, then click the button with the straight arrow, and then change the Startup Disc again.

Along with Spawn's suggestion, have you tried resetting the PRAM?

Hold Option-Command-P-R keys down immediately after pressing the power button. Hold them until you hear the second chime.
