Broken screen

I have an iPhone 7. The screen has broken for the second time, even with the Att&t plastic screen on. Up until this time having had 3 iPhones I have NEVER had to replace. Anyone else think the screens are faulty.

Actually, with each new model, the glass is stronger than in pervious models. What kinds of incidents took place to break the screens?

Thanks Cory, The incidents were totally my fault but the last time the phone landed flat
and has caused the most damage. Hey ho another screen .
