I am having issues installing windows 7 on my Mac.

I successfully partitioned my hard drive, but when I inserted the windows disc to start installing, it got to the first part where I choose the type of installation (upgrade or custom) and choose custom, it asks me which partition to install on. I choose the partition made by bootcamp, it says "Windows cannot be installed to this hard disk space. Windows must be installed to a partition formatted as NTFS.

Could someone help me fix this?

Hello and welcome.

A few questions:

1. What model Mac and version of Mac OS X are you running?
2. Did you create the partition with Boot Camp Assistant?
3. How large did you make the Windows partition?
4. After inserting the Windows disc and starting the install, did you select NTFS or FAT for formatting the Windows partition? You should choose NTFS not FAT.

Hey, thanks for trying to help, but I already found out what I was doing wrong - I was trying to install Windows 7, which apparently isn't supported.
