Bootcamp and Windoze blue screen operations: no keyboard support

not sure where to put this one! but during windows bluescreen operations (not the death kind, but things like defrag, diskcheck, etc,) the keyboard on my mbp and aluminum external is inop, so when i have to do something like "press Escape to reboot" I can't. The only option is to hit the BigSilverButton and that of course can cause other problems. So what to do? I have the latest of everything installed and using 10.4.11.
