blurry start up monitor

I just bought a Mac Mini and use a 1080P monitor 37". I have it hooked up via DVI. Whenever I startup, the screen is blurry and I need to change the display settings to a different setting and then back to the 1920 x 1080 setting and then it is clear until I shut down again. Can anyone help me with this?
