Hi guys,
bit of an embarrassing one this. I accidently removed the fonts from system/library/fonts and the finder just stopped. When I try and start I get the grey apple, then the spinning wheel, then the blue screen, the mouse, and nothing.., not even in safe mode.
I can log into my computer from another over the airport when the blue screen's up. I can move, copy files and all that. But when trying to drop the fonts back into that folder I get the message "The operation can't be complete because you don't have permission to modify some items."
I've logged in as my usual admin name and password but it's not letting up. Any ideas on how i can manipulate this folder over the network? Or maybe just the correct way to log in as I might have done that incorrectly.
Many thanks
Phil
Oh and for some reason the system disk is nowhere to be seen dammit.
