Help? Grey screen and blue screen and no login

Hey! Desperate here for some advice! I was editing photos on Lightroom and the uploading them to the walgreens photo site--- all was fine -- then the screen went black and the computer made this weird clicking noise...(like a metronome) so I hit the power button and rebooted it. The apple logo appears...and then a grey screen of death...

I've tried safe mode...and I get to a blue screen of death...

I've held down "option" and was able to click on recovery disk ... But stopped at grey screen again...

I tried this YouTube video ...

& I think I REALLY messed my computer up...I wasn't able to do the entire video...


I no longer have "root" and have "-sh-3.2#". ??
When I do fsck ...all is well and when I did the hardware test, all was ok!

When I try mount -uw
I get "device is write locked" and an entire page full of that...looks like the matrix took over in black and white...



I'm lost...

-Which model Mac?
-Which version of OS X?
-The clicking sound could be a failing hard drive. What part of the Mac did the sound come from?
-Do you have a current Time Machine or other backup of your data?
