Automator help?

Hello!

I have not learned how to use Automator yet, but am wondering if I should.

I am a teacher and regularly need to copy one file 20 times, each with the name of a different student. For example, I need to copy the file "Assignment1" and then paste "Bob Assignment1", "Jane Assignment 1, etc, with 18 more names.

Is this something Automator can do? Or can you recommend an apple app or process to achieve this?

Hello and welcome.

Yes, Automator should be able to do that, but I am not well-versed in Automator personally. Maybe another member will chime in that has more eperience.

If your school uses Google Classroom, this is much easier and automatic when you create a document and then post it as an assignment to each student.
