As long as the monitor will connect to the Power Mac you should be in business. A lot of people use their monitors from their PC's for their Power Macs.
According to Apple, all PM G4 models has a standard VGA port (and some also has Apple's old ADC port, still others have a DVI connector in addition to the VGA port), so you should be able to hook up just about any monitor you can find, LCD (flat) or CRT (big, deep, bulky).
