If you don't have a full backup, make one now! Apps failing is not a good sign.

What happened, I think, is I had to download some fonts and this one website I clicked the wrong download and it downloaded Genieo. I don't know what that is but I went through to try to uninstall it and I am not sure if it did but I moved everything that had to do with it to the trash. So far I have only found 2 programs that won't open since this has happened so I am thinking Genieo has something to do with it. I do not know much about a Mac except how to do my job which is work in Quark and work in a couple of other programs. I did figure out how to repair the disk but that didn't fix anything. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Hello and welcome.

Kaveman is correct - always have an up-to-date backup.

It could be a font issue.

Remove a font with Font Book

You could also try and disable all user-installed fonts and see if CS will start.

If not, let us know,

I removed a font that I downloaded yesterday and that didn't make any changes. Then I disabled all user-installed fonts and that didn't work either. Help.

Try this:

1. Hold Command/Option/Shift keys down while starting Photoshop CS.
2. Click Yes to delete Adobe Photoshop Settings file.

DId you restart your Mac after this before launching Adobe PS? Do you have another user account you can log into to test whether Adobe PS will or will not launch?

I didn't restart before I tried it yesterday but I just turn it on today and it still is not working. There is only one user account on this Mac. It's crazy because so far out of all the apps on this computer, whatever happened, it only affected two of them. Both were working fine that morning and now both do not work at all.
