Recently replaced the SSD in my MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2014), now want to secure erase the old SSD and put it on ebay. I want to incur the absolute minimum cost, otherwise there's no point.
I'm guessing the best way is to make the old SSD an external disk first of all, but I don't know how to choose an adapter or enclosure. Can someone point me at what I should look for, also what secure erase utility to use?

According to 'everymac.com' The SSD in this model uses a proprietary PCIe 2.0 x2 interface (1 GB/s in each direction).

Thanks. You are right - that's almost what I would have expected to sell the SSD for. I didn't realise those things were so expensive. Thanks for your reply.
