Bought an Insignia USB Bluetooth Adapter, and was unphased by the un-Mac compatibility until it didn't work. Using MacPro 2,1 with OSX 10.7.5, thought Bluetooth was part of OSX. Is there a way to enable this or is it a return trip to best Buy ? TIA

Bluetooth is a part of OS X and the BT hardware comes standard on all Macs except some older PowerMac G5s and Mac Pros where it was an optional module purchase.

Is it the Insignia Bluetooth 4.0 USB Adapter - Black as shown in the link? If so, it will not work, as it is for Windows and your Mac Pro only supported Bluetooth 2.0. If you do an Internet search for Mac Pro compatible Bluetooth adapter or dongle you should find some by IOGear, Rocketfish, etc. It needs to be Bluetooth 2.1 or less to work.

Let us know if you can't find any,

C
