What is "Git" command.?

Hi I was going through a folder of downloaded images , using adobe Bridge to view files, and clicked on an unknown file generic icon, and up came the dialog box below.

naturaly i refused...

i cant remembered which as i had several i clicked on? or is it something important...

iMac 1 Sequoia 15.4.1

According to Wikipedia - Git is a distributed version control system that tracks versions of files. It is often used to control source code by programmers who are developing software collaboratively.


Its commands are document here:


I've never used it myself but often see references to it on some application home pages.

Hi, wow. thanks for the great reply. still dont know how it go onto my computer. must has been brought it by another app i may have installked.
