I am fed up waiting for the speed bump to kick in, (still waiting), so I have found us a new home...
We will be moving from "the laptop in my kitchen" (I'll take a picture before I take it down !) to "The world's largest dedicated hosting data center."
Our new home is going to be in Houston, Texas on the world class EV1 network.
The network consists of 18 Gigabit Ethernet backbone connections to the internet plus one OC-3 link and one DS-3 link. So we shouldn't have a speed issue anymore...LOL.
When I get more information of moving times etc. I will let everyone know, there should be a minimum amount of downtime-just while the dns servers around the net get updated with the new IP address.
Laptop may still sit here with a backup copy - just in case. No we are not going to live on a Win Server, best I could get at the minute was RedHat Linux...
