Good evening,
I want to ask you for advice on setting up a VPN on MacBook Air (MacOS Monterey 12.6.3).
On my W10 computer I have set up a VPN to a remote Windows 2019 server (with a public IP address) - For VPN provider, choose Windows (built-in), address for the VPN server, VPN type Automatic, username and password. That's it and the VPN is working.
When I set up the VPN (L2TP via IPSEC) on my Macbook, set the server address and login and password, a message appears:
"IPSec shared secrets are missing. Please verify your settings and try again."
There is also the option to set up certificate authentication, but I don't know how to export that from a Windows 10 PC.
Can anyone advise how to proceed to make the network work? Where am I making a mistake?
Thank you very much. I apologize for my English.

Hello and welcome.

I don't have much experience with VPN setup...maybe this article will help: Set up a VPN connection on Mac

I believe you would need the cretificate to come from the Windows 2019 server, not your Windows 10 PC.
