Upgrading to Big Sur problem without iTunes

Going to upgrade but will lose iTune. How do you backup iPhones without iTune?. Where will my MP3 music go to in iTune library? How to copy music CDs to MP3 then to flash drive without iTunes? Thanks

'itunes' is replaced by 'music' which works much the same as itunes. your iphone will show under 'Locations' in finder, click on it and you will be able to backup, sync etc..

Yes. Music will access your iTunes Library and a it will all be there.

Music > Preferences > Files > Import Settings, select MP3 Encoder.

And then you can just drag and drop from Music to a USB stick.
