system prefs

System prefs~desktopscreen, I added several folders some of which I want to remove. The minus sign is always greyed out.

How do I activate the minus sign in order to remove them?

Hello and welcome.

-Did you try clicking one of the folders to select it? It should then activate the (-) button.
-Have you moved any of the folders since you added them?
