Switching Conputers

Hey so I just bought a new computer and am going to give my wife my old one.

The question I have is how do I transfer data(applications, files, music, etc) from her old computer to the one I just gave her. My old computer has a lot of junk on it and I don't want to have to go through and delete everything piece by piece and im also afraid of deleting something I'm not supposed to. Thanks any help would be appreciated.

oh and they are both 2009 MacBook pro's mine just had more space ram and a 17' screen

Just migrate her User Account, very easy.

How does it work when we migrate her user account will it replace my old one? Pretty much she wants her computer to be on my old one without any of the extra files and programs i have on there...

no. You can delete your account once its finished.

You can decide what get transferred.
