Start Up begins, then computer shuts down. Help, please!

I used my 2011 MacBook Pro till the battery died last night. Today, I get to the startup screen, choose my icon and enter my password, and it starts to boot. After about 45 seconds, it shuts down. Repeats process over and over. What can I do?

It could be that the battery is failing. Other causes of that issue are RAM and logic board.

I would try an SMC reset. If that doesn't fix the issue, then have it looked at by Apple or an Authorized Apple Service Provider for testing.
