Hello, everyone.
My name's Quentin. I am the owner of a M1 MacbookAir I bought used and I upgraded to Sonoma.
I am really glad to use it. However I noticed something wrong.
When using the YouTube shortcuts 3 and 4 with Safari and the French keyboard layout, they don't work anymore. However, while using Firefox with this layout, they do work ; and when I switch to another layout on Safari, they also do work.
I have emptied the YouTube cache on Privacy menu, but it didn't solve the problem.
I also reinstalled Sonoma, but it didn't help.
As I am a new user of MacOS, I don't know where could it come from. Therefore I am seeking for your help.
Have a good day.

Hello again!
I found on Reddit the adblockers can disturb Safari, so I deleted them, but it didn't solve it.
I told someone with the same computer: he answered me he never had this problem (thus, his one is running on Monterey).
What would you recommend me to do?
Have a good day.

I wish I had an answer for you.... because I have the exact same problem, but with other websites. It's not YouTube in itself, I use a japanese learning site where you can specify shortcuts for answers, and pressing 3, 4, 5 or 8 indicates the key as "disabled". Basically, except for 1 and 2, the entire upper row is mismatched : @ (or #), 6 (or §), ) (or °) translate to ' , 9 translates to d, 0 translates to b, - (or _) translates to ; .... and this is, I think, for all websites in Safari using ANY version of a French keyboard layout. That includes keyboards that are not for French initially : when using the keyboard for japanese, for example, you get to specify the layout for transliteration. If the layout is AZERTY (no matter what flavor : French, French-numerical, ABC-Azerty...) it will NOT work. If the layout is anything BUT French, it will work.

tl;dr : the mapping of the upper row of keys in any French-language layout is buggy in Safari (but only in Safari), and I have no idea how to fix it.....
