setting up a D-link DWL-2100 AP

setting up a D-link DWL-2100 AP???

i have this D-link DWL- AP and i have my roommate trying to get wireless with his macbook pro and its not working he does'nt even pick up the signal
but theres a pc in the house and it picks up the signal.
I dont know what to do iv tred everything i could think of.
Can i get some help??
