Searching for deleted file!

hey there!
Wondering if you can help, am in the midst of upgrading my imac G5 to Leopard and have deleted some excel files by accident..and empted the trash, do you know if they are still backed up and how i could locate them..?

A data Recovery app may be able to help. I can't vouch for any of them as I've never used one. In the meantime, the more you use your Mac the more it decreases your chances on recovering the deleted files. Hmm, what a coincidence, there is a link for a Data Recovery app for Mac at the bottom of this page or, at least it was there when I made this post.
