Reinstall Audio Midi Setup??

I deleted Audio Midi Setup accidentally and now have a problem with only getting sounds through iTunes and system alerts.

I have found the solution elsewhere online as being:

Open Audio MIDI Setup (/Applications/Utilities/), then check the Audio Output setting.
Change the Audio Output setting to 44100.0 Hz.
Quit Audio MIDI Setup.

How can I get Audio Midi Setup installed without a full reinstall of OSX? Or alternatively where can I download it to install?

Or does anyone know how I can solve the sound issue without it?

Sorry for waffling on.

Hello, you don't need to reinstall the OS in order to get Audio MIDI Setup back.

Thanks, tried that, but optional install only allows the core apps such as iCal, Safari etc.

No sign of Audio Midi Setup?
