Hi there,

We went to Shrewsbury castle in England yesterday and I took a nice pano on my iPhone SE.

On my return I airdropped it to my Macbook Pro and converted the HEIC image to JPEG.

However on posting in Facebook I received the message 'unable to post tempimage1HKAtp.heic.

So it's almost as if there is still a link to the HEIC file despite my converting it to a JPEG.

Has anyone got any ideas?

John

Hello,

Sounds like you are still trying to upload the HEIC file. If you converted it to JPEG, say using Preview, look for the .jpg file and try uploding that.

Thanks for your reply, but no I had already done what you said. The whole thing is a bit mysterious, because I have just added some photos that my wife took at the Chelsea flower show and the problem has now gone away.

I'll put it down to some mysterious bug - a new Mac OC has just been released.

Appreciate you help anyway.

No worries...glad it's resolved.

Maybe the HEIC file was in a cache and it eventually cleared, allowing you to upload the JPEG.

Be well,

Yes I think this is probably right, thanks for your help. When my wife sent me photos from the Flower Show an email they were in .jpg format, but when I airdropped some more today, they were HEICs which I converted to .jpg.

Thanks again.
