Pages mac- text won't flow onto next page

Hi! I really hope this is the right place to ask this and I'm so sorry if it isn't. I'm having a problem with my pages document and was hoping someone might know the answer.
At the end of my page I have a large paragraph, after that paragraph i typed a new large paragraph separated from the previous paragraph by an indent, and that entire paragraph transferred onto a new page (rather than what normally happens where the parragraph is split and flows on from one page to another). I know that beneath the first paragraph there is enough room for several lines of the second parragraph before a new page is started, however the only way i can move text into that space is by breaking up the large paragraph. I am so so sorry if that was confusing! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

i found the answer , go to inspector, text, more and untick box keep paragraphs together

Thanks! I had the same problem. Now the wording is different - I have to uncheck "prevent widow and orphan lines."

I've tried "prevent widow and orphan lines" and the other settings around there and the text still does not spill over onto the next page. It enters the next page as if it's going behind it and is hidden. "Bring to front" (or back) also does not work.
