Not enough space to restore system?

I am trying to restore my system with a time machine backup. After selecting my desired backup, I am prompted to select a destination. When I select my Macintosh HD, it says "This disk does not have enough space to restore your system." How could this be possible? Could it have to do with the fact that I have 2 partitions, a Windows BOOTCAMP partition and an OS X Macintosh HD partition? I thought time machine would only back up my OS X partition, so I don't see how my Macintosh HD could not have enough space to restore my backup.

Hello and welcome.

-Did you have an issue with your Mac partition and is that the reason you are trying a restore?
-Was the disk partitioned originally in the same manner when you did the TM backup?
-Have you erased the destination before attempting to restore the TM backup?
