new version of numbers won't let me see top row with column numbers

I've tried everything I can think of and I'm about to scream! I have a numbers spreadsheet up, and the row across the top where I could adjust width of columns or rename them or delete them, or add more etc etc is HIDDEN. If I try and pull down the screen it shows me that top row briefly, but then disappears again.

I'm sure it's a really simple fix, but darn's if I can figure it out.

Have you tried changing the View > Zoom menu?

Tried that, didn't help.

Can't reproduce this effect either, if you tap anywhere outside of the spread sheet what is the result. Regarding total edit box
