Mail 8.1 problem

I have 2 draft emails that have long been sent but they keep popping back up in the draft box. Efforts to both delete and trash them have been unsuccessful. I'm running mail 8.1 with OS X 10.10.1

I don't use Apple's Mail program, preferring Outlook instead. But, via a google search I just did on "How to get rid of draft EMails that have already been sent using Apple Mail in Yosemite", this "hit" seems to be good:

Although it specifically talks about using Apple's Mail program to access a GMail account, maybe the process described will work no matter which EMail "service" one is using with Apple's Mail program.
