Hello all,
I am looking to purchase a refurbished macbook pro but am having some trouble discerning the best purchase for money I can get between the various years and specs. For the most part I will use it for school, some gaming, and would like it to run audio recording programs as well.
Based upon what I can afford here are my options with the 2020 mabye slightly out of my range (but I thought I would include it nevertheless).
2018 MacbookPro 13in - i7 2.7ghz -16RAM - 256GB SSD
2019 Core i5 - 2.4 GHz - SSD 256 GB - RAM 16GB
2020 Core i5 - 1.4 GHz - SSD 256 GB - RAM 8GB
2020 13in M1 8-core and 8-core GPU - 8GB RAM - SSD 256GB
I guess my question is sort of: would a 2018, for instance with an i7 and 16RAM be more powerful than the 2019 i5? or a 2020 with only 8RAM? Although I have gone on some websites which compare processors, I feel I am getting differing information. Furthermore, Is the graphics card in the 2019 for instance better than the 2018 and how much of a role would that play in importatnce over RAM or processor for instance.
Thank you to whomever can help with this question.
