I'm not really sure how it happened, but as I was reading a blog, my screen image started disolving into pixilization. Fearful, I quickly shut off my computer. Upon turning on my computer again ( MacBook pro running leopard) the screen only shows green and blue vertical lines and the keyboard is utterly unresponsive.

Is this a virus or a hardware issue? It's an old computer, so I don't really want to pay for repairs. I think I still have osx install disk somewhere, but I'm not sure how it'll do anything if I have no control over any function on my devise.

I've tried plugging my laptop into both a projector and then a monitor, both failed to notice my laptop at all. It may have been caused by an evil download, but I'm lost.

Anyone heard of something like this happening before? I'm basically now stuck just using my phone and tablet until I rather fix/ get a new laptop.

Sounds more like a Hardware problem than a infection.

Take it to an AppleCare Service Centre near you for a quote.
