Mac suddenly not picking up MP3 player

Hello,

I do apologise if I have posted this in the wrong sub forum; I wasn't quite sure where would be best.

I bought a new MP3 player recently which has worked perfectly fine with my mac. Today, all of a sudden my mac will not pick up the MP3 player at all. I'm not aware of any updates or changes that have been made to the computer, and my windows laptop still picks it up fine.

I have no idea to be honest. It did work fine, but now it's not being picked up at all. I'm also not sure how to set up such a synchronization program unfortunately.
