Hi all, I have a Mac Pro 1,1 that won’t boot up no matter what I do. I know, most people would say, “get a new computer already”, but it was still running great until it just didn’t. Hey I still have a G3 that I play old games on sometimes. But anyway, when I start it up I get the startup tone, and the apple logo appears, then immediately Gets vertical lines on the screen and messages starting with “panic (cpu.....” that can’t be good. I attached the screen messages. Resetting the pram, starting in safe mode, or any other startup key combinations end up with the same error screen. The computer won’t recognize the cd drive or external hard drives. The installed hard drive is just a few months old.

Hello and welcome.

That kernel panic could be several things - logic board, video card, RAM, etc.

You could try reseating the video card and RAM, and removing all RAM except a pair. Be especially careful with the video card, as the connectors and release can easily break, especially on older machines. If it starts up normally with a single pair or RAM sticks, add pairs until it kernel panics again.

See if any of that helps.
