Locked out of macbook pro 16 (2019)

So i have a Macbook pro 16 inch (2019) and i tried to reset to factory to sell it on and get a smaller model,
But now its stuck on a black screen with a globe so i try to reinstall OS and it trys to load in the new OS,
When that finishes it restarts on the language screen
starts to activate then comes up an activation lock?
is there any way around this as i cant access the I.D thats needed?

Hello and welcome.

Due to Apple's incredibly tight security, there isn't any way to bypass an activation lock.
-About Activation Lock on your Mac
-Activation Lock and Find My on Mac
-Apple ID Support
-Security and your Apple ID

You will need to remove the activation lock to be able to sell the Mac and have it be usable by the purchaser.

So your basically telling me i have a £2000 rolling tray because i dont have the i no more?

Hi,

I understand your frustration. If you can't access/reset the Apple ID to remove the activation lock, you could try calling Apple directly.

Sorry, but that is the only recourse you have.
