Is there no trash in Contacts App?

This is really annoyiing.
Each time I want to recover a contact, I try with iCloud recovery without success
It is also very tedious
So why is there no trash for Contacts app ?

When using iOS and iPadOS you can use the Edit option. You may need to scroll down to the bottom of the display to see the Delete button.

I use the laptop MacBook Air. There is an Undo Delete Card command but it will go gray next day or when you restart the contact app. It is not what I am looking for.
