Is it possible to install a version of OS 9 on a Power Book G4?

I'd like to install OS 9.2.2 in one partition of a PowerBook G4 running OS 10.5.8 in another partition. (That would mean I could continue to run some fairly expensive applications that will only work with OS 9.) How to do it?

-Which exact model PowerBook G4? Only some can run OS 9.

You should be able to install OS 9 Classic alongside OS X on a PowerBook, without the need for partitioning the drive: Tutorial: Installing Classic over a current Mac OS X installation.

You could partition the drive and install OS 9 on one and OS X on the other. But, you would lose the current data on the OS X partition.

Do you have both the OS 9 and OS X install discs for that model?
