SOLVED Imessages sending as text messages ios 17.4.1

Hi, after updating to iOS 17.4.1, my messages are being sent as text messages, and I received a notification stating 'iMessage needs to be enabled,' although I haven't disabled it. This doesn't appear to be a carrier-related issue, as others across different carriers report the same problem. It seems specific to the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Any advice?

Hi Chris, On your iPhone go to Settings -> Messages In there you can verify if messages is turned on and what email addresses are associated with your iMessage account.

Oh, well, that does it. For some reason, there was one of my older emails there that interfered i guess in some way. I deleted it and now everything is back to normal. thanks!
