I've been using that iMac until last year, then I started using it as a display for my mac mini M4.
It worked perfectly but the last time I used it, I saw a green square in the lower middle part of the screen, then the screen went dark.
After that, whenever I try to switch it on, I have the startup sound which repeats itself every four seconds, with a black screen.
I tried all the usual procedures to restart, resetting what can be reset, but to no avail.
As I understand it, the issue lies with the logic board.
I do understand that there will be not much use for this computer now, and I have already ordered a 5k monitor. However, I do have some old programmes and games that I like to return to from time to time.
Any advice on how to proceed, or maybe on a step that I've missed in my diagnosis?
