Ichat Error-8 When Using Ichat

just tried to use ichat with aniother ichat user and kept getting a error-8 message. lost and need help! i am using cox high speed internet and have a gateway router.

I keep getting this error with one of my AIM friends, but not with another friend. It's getting quite annoying. I'm on a MacBook, 2gigs ram 80gig hd.

iChat opens fine and shows my buddies. I can chat to them by typing but when ever i talk to them it doesnt work. What happens is that i click accept (vise versa) but then it says could not connect. Can someone help me?

Error 8 messages in iChat usually relate to a NAT issue - it could be that one person is using a router that has a restricted NAT while the other an Open NAT - this causes issues with communication software.
