HELP MALWARE?

Hello and good evening i have a MacBook 4,1 running Lion 10.7.5 and i downloaded something and now i have the "mackeeper" pop-ups and other pop-ups about my mac bing in effected. i have been searching for a solution, these pop-ups are through both Safari & Google Chrome, i cant find help, so please please HELP ME!!

OK, here are the two steps you need to take:

1. Completely remove MacKeeper. This link explains how to do that:

2. Download, install, and run the excellent freeware program called AdwareMedic to get rid of annoying ads. You can get that from here:

THANK YOU!! i did not install mackeeper just kept getting the popups, i ran the adware medic and have not had a single popup at all! again thank you sooo very much!!

You're most welcome. And, that's good that you don't have Mac Keeper on your machine. That program causes so many issues.
