Hi everybody,

I had recently an issue with iOS applications notifications, I am not getting them, for WhatsApp, Viber, outlook and other applications.
I have tried ti reset network settings but still same issue. No, I am having issue with Handoff not working.
MacBook Pro : Catalina 10.15.5
iPhone 11 : iOS 13.5.1

I have tried do deactivate and activate handoff on iPhone but same issue.
Both iPhone and MBP are on the same network.

Regards

Hello,

There are a few requirements for Handoff to work:

-Both devices signed in to the same Apple ID
-Both on the same Wi-Fi network
-Both have Bluetooth enabled
-Same app on both devices - mainly only works with Apple applications, but some third-party apps are Handoff-enabled
-Make sure Handoff is enabled on both devices

Continuity: System requirements for Continuity on Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Watch
iPhone/iOS: Hand off tasks between iPhone and your Mac
Mac: Pick up where you left off with Handoff on Mac

See if any of that helps,

Hello,

Many thanks for the help and reply.

Actually it was working fine for me as I said, it just stopped working after resetting network connections on iPhone.
I will cross check again the requirements and let you know.
Mainly I am using Safari for continuity.
Both devices are on same network and bluetooth ON, both signed on iCloud.

Many thanks

Good morning,

I have checked all the requirements and they look OK.
What I have noticed, it looks like there is a problem with iCloud.
When logging out from iCloud on my iPhone and logging in again, I am supposed to get a code for two factors identification on my MBP, but I am not receiving that??? FYI, my MBP is connected to iCloud.
Strange? a network problem?

Best regards

Hi again,

One more thing stranger, when I did not get two factor identification code, I am supposed to use Choose number option on the iPhone and get a code through messages, but I am not getting also and I can sign in directly to iCloud on my iPhone without entering any code?

What if I save my iPhone and try to reset it then backup?

Best regards

Hi,

Handoff is working now by itself. I did not do any update for both MacOs and iOS.
I don't know what was the the problem and how it is solved in a sudden.

Hmmm...that is strange. Glad it is resolved though.

Chalk another one up to computer voodoo. ;)
