After updating my computer to OSX Yosemite 10.10.5, Google Chrome will no longer display any websites. No matter what I try to open all I get is "This webpage is not available ". Any thoughts?

Hello and welcome.

You could try this

-Launch Chrome, then in the menu bar click Chrome > Clear Browsing Data... > Obliterate the following items from: the beginning of time and check all the boxes and click Clear browsing data. You will need to re-enter your website passwords next time you visit them.
-Quit Chrome.
-Relaunch Chrome and see if it works.

Let us know if that corrects the issue.

Thanks for your suggestion but that did not work. I still get the same message. Safari works fine but I prefer Chrome.

-Is Chrome updated to the latest version: Version 45.0.2454.85 (64-bit)
-Do you have and third-party extension installed in Chrome?
-Have you tried Chrome > Preferences... > Show advanced settings... > Reset settings?

Yes I have the latest version.
Under Extensions, I have Evernote Web Clipper and Google Docs
I tried Reset Settings and the result is still no access to websites.

-Did you change any DNS settings in System Preferences... > Network?
-Are the date & time correct on your Mac?
-Do you have another user on the Mac that you can try Chrome in?

We'll keep at it until we find a solution. ;)

OK...we can try to remove Chrome, re-download, install, and start over - if you're cool with that. You will lose any bookmarks and auto-fill information, unless you are signed into Google with your Google account.

Delete the following:

Application folder
Applications/Google Chrome

In your hidden user library folder (let me know if you don't know how to access it)
~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome (whole folder)
~/Library/Caches/com.google.SoftwareUpdate (whole folder)
~/Library/Caches/Google (whole folder)
~/Library/Google/GoogleSoftwareUpdate (whole folder)
~/Library/Preferences/com.google.Chrome.plist
~/Library/Saved Application State/com.google.Chrome.savedState (whole folder)

-Restart Mac
-Download Chrome again
-Install

Let me know if that works,

OK. In Finder...

-Click the Go menu in the menu bar.
-When the drop-down menu appears, hold the Option key down and the word Library will appear about halfway down the list.
-Click on Library and a Finder window will open that is your hidden user library folder.

This morning I turned Chrome on after being shut down overnight and just like magic it is working again. The mysterious ways of a computer! Anyway, I will file your suggestions away just in case and many, many thanks for your help!

No worries.

Strange...maybe just some weird Internet connectivity issue that resolved itself?

Keep us updated,
