Hello,
I have a G4 Powerbook, OS 10.3.9, 1.33 GHz, 2GB DDR SDRAM, I live out of the country and unfortunately changed my region on my DVD's several times, last time I knew it was my last, thought I asked for region 1, US. Can not remember if I have watched movies since then but now NO DVD is being accepted. it gives me no information, just kicks the disk out. I was trying to load a later version of OS, both 10.4 and 10.5, and it won't read the disks. My friend a Mac guy thinks my DVD drive is broken. Says I should try to find an external DVD player that I can boot from. Any ideas? Suggestions? It may be impossible to find in this country....?? how can I confirm if my DVD drive is really dead? Thank you.
